Jeffrey Bridge, Ph.D.

Dr. Bridge is an epidemiologist and Principal Investigator in the Center for Innovation in Pediatric Practice at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) and Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He earned a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2015, Dr. Bridge was appointed director of the Center for Suicide Prevention and Research at NCH. His research focuses on the epidemiology of suicidal behavior in young people, neurocognitive vulnerability to suicidal behavior, and on improving the quality of care for suicidal youth and adolescents who have attempted suicide. Dr. Bridge currently receives funding from the National Institute of Mental Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) for his research in these areas.
